something that Northgate is well aware of, when working with their
customers and as well as with suppliers for their own internal requirements.
So it was very much a partner that Northgate was looking for when
it came to finding a provider for the document scanning and document
storage that was required across their business. Ideally, one with
knowledge across all aspects of scanning, excellent levels of experience
and a proven security record system.
Northgate had a specific interest in a secure online web repository
to hold all of the back scanned information as well as ongoing scanning
for payroll.
In Preview, they found a company which was able to demonstrate
that it could tick all of the boxes, in spite of the wide range
of requirements. Two of the key elements that Preview was able to
offer was eView+, an online web repository, and also the state of
the art Records Management Centre which completed the picture.
With a number of individual projects needing handling, as well
as an ongoing scanning requirement with document storage, Northgate
had a specific interest in a secure online web repository to hold
all of the back scanned information as well as ongoing scanning
for payroll. While the Records Management Centre proved to be the
ideal secure facility to store the information after indexing and
scanning had happened.
The ongoing project required that payroll information was handled
on a regular, and in some cases daily, basis with the files directed
through Northgate’s indexing partner in India for that part
of the process. Once the images were prepared and scanned, they
were uploaded into eView+, Preview’s web repository system,
so that they could be viewed by Northgate. This flow of documentation
has of course required an extremely secure and structured system
which has allowed the work to be completed quickly and effectively
between the parties.
As with all projects containing potentially sensitive information,
and particularly during transfer of the information, security is
paramount. Since the projects involving ongoing scanning of payroll
documents, the three attributes which were considered critical by
Northgate in their partner - knowledge, experience and security
– will certainly continue to be brought to evidence by Preview.
